Adjustable bed sides allow you to use mattresses of different thicknesses.
LÖNSET slatted bed base with curved slats and comfort zones helps keep your spine aligned, while the open construction allows air to circulate and keeps the mattress fresh.
A clean design that’s just as beautiful on all sides – place the bed on its own or with the headboard against a wall. If you need space for extra bedding, add MALM bed storage boxes on casters.

Posted on Apr 07, 2023Can I use the Malm bed frame with a mattress that is thicker than the recommended 12 inches?
Are there any modifications or adjustments I can make to accommodate my thicker mattress?

Posted on Dec 09, 2022I just set up my Malm bed frame and noticed that the sides are a bit loose. Is it normal for them to be a bit wobbly, or is there something I can do to tighten them?

Posted on Aug 01, 2022I recently purchased the MALM bed frame in gray stained and I'm having some issues with the slatted bed base. The curved slats are causing my mattress to sag in the middle. Is there a way to adjust or replace these slats to achieve a more even sleeping surface?

Answered on Aug 03, 2022The curved slats in the LÖNSET slatted bed base are designed to provide comfort and support, but they may not work for all mattresses. To achieve a more even sleeping surface, you can try the following:
1. Rotate the slats: The curved slats are positioned in alternating directions. Try rotating every other slat 180 degrees to create a flatter surface.
2. Add a plywood board: Place a thin plywood board (around 1/4 inch thick) on top of the slatted base. This will create a more even surface for the mattress.
3. Replace the slats: You can purchase replacement straight slats from IKEA and replace the curved ones. This will provide a completely flat surface for the mattress.
Make sure to measure the bed frame and order the correct replacement slats. With a few adjustments, you should be able to resolve the sagging issue and enjoy a more comfortable sleep
