Posted on Jan 03, 2024I have a Brimnes daybed with two mattresses and drawers. One of the drawers has stopped sliding in and out smoothly. How can I fix this problem? Is there any maintenance or adjustment that can be done to get it working again?

Answered on Jan 05, 2024To fix the issue with the drawer on your BRIMNES daybed not sliding smoothly, you can try the following:
First, check if the drawer is properly aligned. Ensure that the drawer slides are installed correctly and that the drawer is not obstructed by anything. If the slides are not aligned properly, you may need to adjust them.
Next, clean the drawer slides and the inside of the drawer. Over time, dust and debris can accumulate, causing the drawer to stick. Use a clean cloth to wipe down the slides and the inside of the drawer.
If the drawer still doesn't slide smoothly, you can try lubricating the slides. Apply a small amount of silicone-based furniture polish or lubricant to the slides, and then open and close the drawer a few times to distribute the lubricant.
If the above steps don't resolve the issue, the drawer slides may need to be replaced. You can contact IKEA customer service to order replacement slides for your BRIMNES daybed
