Posted on Sep 08, 2023I'm having trouble with the door hinges on my PAX wardrobe, they seem to be loose and don't close properly. Is there a way to tighten them or replace them if necessary?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Sep 10, 2023The hinges on your PAX wardrobe can be adjusted to tighten them and ensure the doors close properly. Here are the steps:
1. Locate the screws on the hinges. There are typically 2-3 screws per hinge.
2. Use a screwdriver to gradually tighten the screws on each hinge. Be careful not to overtighten.
3. Test the door to see if it closes properly. If not, you may need to make minor adjustments by loosening or tightening the screws further.
If the hinges are severely worn and cannot be adjusted, you can replace them. Replacement PAX hinge sets are available from IKEA. Simply remove the old hinges and install the new ones following the instructions.
Be sure to adjust the new hinges as needed to ensure a proper fit and smooth door operation. With a little tweaking, you should be able to get your PAX wardrobe doors functioning like new

Posted on Jan 24, 2023I have a Pax wardrobe with adjustable feet, but the floor is slightly uneven and I'm having trouble getting the feet to adjust properly. Are there any specific instructions or tips for adjusting these feet?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jan 26, 2023To adjust the adjustable feet on your PAX wardrobe to compensate for an uneven floor, follow these steps:
1. Locate the adjustable feet at the base of the wardrobe. These are typically plastic or metal feet that can be turned to raise or lower the wardrobe.
2. Using a screwdriver or your hand, turn the feet counterclockwise to lower them and level the wardrobe. Turn them clockwise to raise them.
3. Adjust each foot individually, checking the levelness of the wardrobe as you go. Use a spirit level to ensure the wardrobe is completely level.
4. Once all the feet are adjusted and the wardrobe is level, ensure the doors are closing properly and the wardrobe is stable.
5. If you're still having trouble getting it level, you can try placing small shims or pieces of wood under the shorter feet to provide additional support.
The adjustable feet are designed to compensate for minor floor unevenness, so with a bit of adjustment you should be able to get your PAX wardrobe perfectly level
