I've assembled my PAX wardrobe and everything seems to be in order, except for one issue - the door doesn't close properly due to a slight unevenness in the floor. Is it possible to adjust the hinges or add shims to compensate for this?

To address the issue with the door not closing properly due to uneven flooring, you can try adjusting the hinges or adding shims to compensate for the unevenness.

To adjust the hinges:
1. Locate the hinge screws on the wardrobe frame.
2. Slightly loosen the screws, but do not remove them completely.
3. Gently shift the door until it aligns properly and the door closes smoothly.
4. Tighten the hinge screws to secure the door in the adjusted position.

If adjusting the hinges is not enough, you can try adding shims under the wardrobe to level it:
1. Identify the areas where the wardrobe is uneven and measure the gap between the floor and the wardrobe frame.
2. Cut shims (small wedge-shaped pieces) from a suitable material, such as wood or plastic, to fit the gaps.
3. Carefully slide the shims under the wardrobe frame in the necessary areas to level the unit.
4. Check the door's alignment and make any additional adjustments as needed.

By adjusting the hinges or adding shims, you should be able to compensate for the uneven floor and ensure the door closes properly

I have a PAX wardrobe with the MISTUDDEN door, and I'm having trouble closing one of the doors. The door is slightly warped and doesn't close properly. Is there a way to adjust or fix this issue without having to replace the entire door?

The door can likely be adjusted to close properly without needing to replace the entire door. Here are the steps to troubleshoot and adjust the PAX wardrobe door:

1. First, check if the hinges are properly aligned. The hinges on PAX wardrobes have adjustment screws that allow you to fine-tune the door position.

2. Use a screwdriver to slightly loosen the hinge screws, then gently push or pull the door to realign it. Tighten the screws back up once the door is properly positioned.

3. If the door is still not closing flush, you can try adjusting the magnetic catch. There are small screws on the magnetic catch that you can turn to increase or decrease the tension and alignment.

4. As a last resort, you may need to replace the hinges if they are worn out. Replacement hinge sets are available from IKEA.

Try these adjustments step-by-step until you get the door closing properly again without having to replace the entire door panel

I have a PAX wardrobe combination with a mistudden pattern, and I'm having issues with the door not closing properly. The hinges seem to be loose, but when I try to tighten them, they won't budge. What can I do to fix this issue?

To address the issue with the loose hinges on your PAX wardrobe combination, try the following steps:

1. First, ensure that the hinges are properly aligned. Check that the screws securing the hinges to the cabinet frame are tight. If any screws are loose, tighten them using a screwdriver.

2. If the hinges still feel loose after tightening the screws, the hinge adjustment mechanism may need to be adjusted. Locate the small adjustment screws on the hinges. Using a small Allen wrench or screwdriver, try adjusting these screws to tighten the hinge and improve the door's closing mechanism.

3. If the adjustment screws are difficult to turn, you may need to use a hinge adjustment tool specifically designed for IKEA hinges. This tool can provide more leverage to properly adjust the hinge tension.

4. As a last resort, you may need to replace the hinges if they are worn or damaged. Replacement hinge kits are available from IKEA, and the process is relatively straightforward to install the new hinges.

Let me know if these steps help resolve the issue with your PAX wardrobe door not closing properly

I recently purchased the PAX/MISTUDDEN wardrobe combination and I'm having trouble with one of the doors not closing properly. The door is slightly misaligned and won't shut completely.
Is there a way to adjust or realign the hinges so that it closes smoothly?

To realign the door and ensure it closes smoothly, you can adjust the hinges on the PAX/MISTUDDEN wardrobe. Here are the steps:

1. Locate the hinge screws on the door frame and the cabinet. There are typically 2-3 screws per hinge.

2. Using a screwdriver, slightly loosen the hinge screws, but do not remove them completely.

3. Gently push or pull the door to align it properly in the frame. Make small adjustments until the door sits flush and closes completely.

4. Once the door is aligned, tighten the hinge screws back up to secure the door in place.

5. Test the door to ensure it opens and closes smoothly without any gaps or misalignment.

If you continue to have issues, you may need to adjust the hinges further or check if the cabinet is level on the floor. With some minor adjustments, you should be able to get the door functioning properly
