Posted on Apr 04, 2024I'm trying to assemble the Aurdal wardrobe combination, but I'm having trouble with one of the shelves. The shelf is supposed to be adjustable, but it won't move up or down despite following the instructions. Can you provide additional guidance on how to adjust the shelf or recommend a solution?

Answered on Apr 06, 2024To adjust the shelf on the AURDAL wardrobe combination, try the following:
1. Ensure the shelf is properly positioned on the shelf pins. The pins should be fully inserted into the holes on the side panels.
2. Check that the shelf is not obstructed by any other components. Make sure there are no cables, brackets or other items preventing the shelf from moving up or down.
3. Gently push or pull the shelf to try to dislodge it from its current position. Sometimes the shelf can get stuck and requires a bit of force to get it moving again.
4. If the shelf still won't budge, you may need to remove it completely and re-insert the shelf pins into a different set of holes. This will allow you to reposition the shelf at the desired height.
5. Verify that the side panels are properly installed and aligned. Uneven or crooked side panels can prevent the shelf from sliding smoothly.

Another option is to install a sturdy base, such as a wooden platform or a metal frame, that spans the entire footprint of the wardrobe. This will provide a stable, level surface to set the wardrobe on, regardless of the floor condition.
Additionally, you can check if the wall behind the wardrobe is level. If not, you may need to shim the back of the wardrobe to ensure it is plumb and secure against the wall.
