Posted on Feb 28, 2024I would like to install the Brimnes Wardrobe in a corner of my room. Can I use the safety fitting provided with the wardrobe to attach it to two walls simultaneously, or do I need to purchase an additional bracket?

Answered on Mar 01, 2024The BRIMNES Wardrobe comes with a safety fitting that is designed to attach the wardrobe to a single wall. To secure the wardrobe in a corner, you will need to purchase an additional corner bracket or wall anchoring system. This will allow you to attach the wardrobe to two adjacent walls simultaneously for added stability and safety. Follow the instructions carefully when installing the additional bracket to ensure the wardrobe is properly secured

Posted on May 09, 2023I am having trouble installing the Brimnes wardrobe as it seems that the screws provided are too short to secure the unit to the wall. Can you please recommend an alternative solution or provide longer screws for purchase?

Answered on May 11, 2023To securely attach the BRIMNES wardrobe to the wall, you will need longer screws that can properly anchor into the wall material. The included screws may not be long enough, depending on the wall construction in your home. I would recommend purchasing 3-inch or longer wood screws that are appropriate for the type of wall you have, whether drywall, plaster, or another material. This will ensure the wardrobe is safely and firmly mounted to prevent any tipping or instability. You can find suitable longer screws at your local hardware store. Let me know if you have any other questions

Posted on Dec 08, 2022I just installed the Brimnes Wardrobe with 2 doors, but I'm having trouble opening one of the doors. The door seems to be stuck and won't budge when trying to open it. Are there any troubleshooting steps or tips that you can provide to help me resolve this issue?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Dec 10, 2022To troubleshoot the issue with the stuck door on your BRIMNES Wardrobe, try the following steps:
1. Check the door hinges: Ensure that the door hinges are properly aligned and tightened. If they are loose, use a screwdriver to tighten the screws on the hinges.
2. Inspect the door mechanism: Examine the mechanism that allows the door to open and close. Look for any obstructions or debris that may be preventing the door from moving freely.
3. Adjust the door: If the door is still sticking, you may need to adjust the door itself. Locate the adjustment screws on the hinges and turn them slightly to see if that helps the door open more smoothly.
4. Lubricate the hinges: Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the door hinges. This can help reduce friction and make the door easier to open.
If these troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to contact IKEA customer service for further assistance
