Answered on Jun 27, 2023Yes, it is possible to install this PAX/MEHAMN/AULI wardrobe without the sliding doors. The wardrobe frame can be assembled and used as an open wardrobe solution.
As for adding doors later, you can purchase the door frames and hardware separately. IKEA offers a wide range of PAX door options that are compatible with this wardrobe frame, including the MEHAMN and AULI doors featured in the original description. Answered on Jan 31, 2023The depth of the wardrobe is fixed at 26 inches (66 cm) and cannot be adjusted. The product description states that it has "Deep frames that will swallow a lot of clothes" and "Enough depth to hang clothes on the side and plenty of space in drawers", indicating that the depth is not adjustable
