Posted on Jun 22, 2023I've been trying to install my PAX wardrobe, but I'm having trouble with the door not closing properly due to an uneven floor. Are there any adjustments I can make to the adjustable feet to compensate for this?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jun 24, 2023The adjustable feet on the PAX wardrobe can be used to compensate for an uneven floor and ensure the doors close properly. Here are the steps to adjust the feet:
1. Locate the adjustable feet at the base of the wardrobe. They can be turned clockwise or counterclockwise to raise or lower that side of the wardrobe.
2. Start by identifying which side of the wardrobe is not closing properly. If the door is not closing on one side, turn the adjustable foot on that side counterclockwise to raise that side of the wardrobe.
3. Make small adjustments, turning the foot 1/4 to 1/2 turn at a time. Check the door closing after each adjustment.
4. Continue adjusting the foot until the door closes smoothly and evenly along the entire frame.
5. If needed, make similar adjustments to the other feet to ensure the wardrobe is level and stable.
The adjustable feet allow you to fine-tune the wardrobe to compensate for an uneven floor and get the doors closing properly. Take it step-by-step until you achieve the right fit

Answered on Mar 21, 2023To securely mount the PAX / BERGSBO Wardrobe to the wall, IKEA recommends using wall anchors that are suitable for the type of wall material. Given the weight of the wardrobe, it's important to use anchors that can properly support the load. Some options to consider:
- For drywall, use hollow wall anchors rated for the weight of the wardrobe. These provide a secure attachment point in the wall.
- For concrete or brick walls, use concrete wall anchors or screws designed for masonry. These will ensure a sturdy connection to the wall.
- Ensure the anchors and screws you use are long enough to properly secure the wardrobe to the wall material.
It's crucial to follow the assembly instructions carefully and use the appropriate hardware to safely mount this tall, heavy wardrobe unit. Taking the time to properly secure it to the wall will prevent any potential tipping or instability issues
