Posted on Apr 03, 2024I just received my KIVIK sectional sofa and I'm thrilled with the comfort and style. However, I have a question regarding the armrests. How do I remove them completely? I want to be able to clean under them and wondered if it's possible to take them off entirely

Answered on Apr 05, 2024The KIVIK sectional sofa has removable armrests, so you can take them off completely to clean under them. To remove the armrests, follow these steps:
1. Lift up the armrest slightly to expose the attachment mechanism underneath.
2. Locate the small release tab or lever on the underside of the armrest.
3. Press or pull the release tab to disengage the armrest from the frame.
4. Gently pull the armrest straight up and out to detach it.
Once the armrests are removed, you'll be able to access the area underneath and clean it thoroughly. When you're ready to reattach the armrests, simply align them with the frame and press down firmly until you hear a click, indicating they are securely in place

The armrests are attached with screws, so you can easily take them off if needed. This gives you the flexibility to customize the sofa's dimensions to your space. With the armrests removed, the overall width of the sofa would be reduced, allowing you to position it more comfortably in your room. The sofa will still maintain its deep, comfortable seating even without the wide armrests
