Posted on Jul 10, 2022I'm interested in purchasing the SÖDERHAMN sectional sofa, but I have a concern about the armrests. Can I replace them if they get damaged or worn out? And is there an option to upgrade to a different fabric or color for the armrests separately from the main cover?

Answered on Jul 12, 2022The SÖDERHAMN sectional sofa does not have separate armrests that can be replaced. The armrests are part of the overall frame and cover of the sofa. If the armrests become damaged or worn, you would need to replace the entire cover rather than just the armrests.
As for upgrading the fabric or color, IKEA does offer a variety of cover options for the SÖDERHAMN sofa that you can purchase separately. This allows you to change the look of your sofa by simply removing the old cover and putting on a new one. However, the cover options are for the entire sofa, not just the armrests. You cannot upgrade the armrests to a different fabric or color independently from the main sofa cover
