Posted on Apr 21, 2023I recently purchased the Stockholm Sofa with Seglora natural aniline leather cover. I noticed that the color is not uniform and there are some light marks on the surface. Is this normal for aniline leather, or did I get a defective product?

Answered on Apr 23, 2023The color variation and light marks you are observing on the surface of your STOCKHOLM sofa with Seglora aniline leather cover are completely normal and expected. Aniline leather has an unaltered surface that is only treated with a thin protective coating, which allows the natural characteristics of the leather to show through.
The variations in color and the presence of light marks are a result of the natural tanning process and are what give aniline leather its unique, one-of-a-kind appearance. This is not a defect, but rather a desirable feature of this high-quality leather. As the sofa ages, the leather will continue to develop a beautiful patina and become even softer over time.
So in summary, the color variations and light marks you are seeing are a normal and intended part of the aniline leather used on your STOCKHOLM sofa. This is not a defect, but rather a sign of the premium quality and natural character of the material

Posted on Dec 20, 2022I recently purchased the Stockholm Sofa with Seglora natural aniline leather cover. After a few months, I noticed that the leather is starting to crack and develop scratches easily. Is this normal behavior for aniline leather or is there something I can do to prevent it?

Answered on Oct 05, 2022To maintain the aniline leather on your STOCKHOLM sofa and prevent further damage, I recommend the following:
Avoid using harsh cleaners or chemicals, as they can damage the natural leather. Instead, use a mild soap and water solution. Gently wipe the affected areas with a soft, damp cloth, then dry thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth.
For deeper scratches or marks, you can try using a leather conditioner or balm specifically formulated for aniline leather. Apply a small amount to a clean cloth and gently rub it into the leather, following the grain. This will help nourish and protect the leather.
Avoid placing the sofa in direct sunlight, as this can cause the leather to dry out and become more prone to cracking or fading over time. Also, be mindful of sharp objects that could scratch the surface.
With proper care and maintenance, the aniline leather on your STOCKHOLM sofa will continue to develop a beautiful, unique patina over time
