Posted on Apr 03, 2024I have an ESSEBODA Loveseat, Tallmyra blue/brown and I'm experiencing some issues with the fabric. It seems to be pilling quite a bit, especially in areas where it's been worn more frequently. Is this normal for the material or is there something I can do to prevent further pilling?

There are some small stains on the surface that I can't seem to get out. Can you recommend any cleaning products or methods that might help remove these stains without damaging the fabric?

Answered on Apr 08, 2023To clean the stains on your ESSEBODA loveseat without damaging the Tallmyra fabric, I recommend the following:
First, try blotting the stain with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid rubbing, as this can spread the stain. If the stain persists, you can use a mild, water-based upholstery cleaner. Test the cleaner on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn't discolor or damage the fabric.
Apply the cleaner sparingly to the stained area, using a soft-bristled brush or sponge. Gently scrub the stain, then blot with a clean, damp cloth to remove any residue. Avoid soaking the fabric, as this can cause water damage.
If the stain is stubborn, you can try using a small amount of mild dish soap diluted in water. Again, test this on a hidden area first. Gently work the soapy solution into the stain, then blot and rinse thoroughly.
Be sure to allow the fabric to fully dry before use. You can also try using a fabric protector spray once the stain is removed to help prevent future stains.

To wash the cover, simply unzip it from the frame and machine wash it on a gentle cycle. You can also spot clean the cover with a damp cloth as needed.
