The removable cover can be machine washed, but what about stains that are on the foam or springs?
Are there any specific cleaning products recommended by Ikea for this product?

Answered on Sep 22, 2023To clean stains on the foam or springs of the UPPLAND sofa, IKEA recommends using a mild soap and water solution. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents as they can damage the materials.
First, blot up any excess spill with a clean, dry cloth. Then, mix a small amount of mild liquid soap with warm water. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and gently rub the stained area. Avoid soaking the foam or springs.
After cleaning, use a damp cloth to remove any soap residue, then allow the area to air dry completely before using the sofa again.
IKEA does not recommend any specific cleaning products for this sofa, as harsh chemicals could compromise the integrity of the materials. With the removable, machine-washable cover and gentle soap and water cleaning for the interior, you can keep your UPPLAND sofa looking its best

Posted on Feb 03, 2023I recently purchased the UPPLAND sofa and I'm having trouble removing the cover for washing. The instructions say it's removable, but I can't seem to figure out how to take it off. Can you provide more detailed steps or guidance on how to remove and reattach the cover?

Answered on Feb 05, 2023To remove the cover on the UPPLAND sofa, follow these steps:
1. Locate the zippers along the sides and bottom of the sofa. There are typically 3-4 zippers that allow you to detach the cover.
2. Unzip the zippers slowly and carefully, starting from the bottom and working your way up the sides. This will allow you to fully remove the cover.
3. Once the cover is off, inspect the attachment points to ensure you understand how it fits back on the frame. There may be straps, hooks or other fasteners that secure the cover.
4. When ready to reattach, align the cover properly and fasten all the zippers, starting from the bottom and working your way up. Make sure the cover is fitted snugly over the frame.
5. Adjust the cover as needed to ensure it sits evenly and smoothly over the sofa.
