Posted on Aug 13, 2023I've noticed that the sofa has a removable armrest, which allows me to reconfigure the seating arrangement. However, I'm having trouble taking off the armrests. Can you provide instructions or advice on how to remove and reattach them?

Answered on Aug 15, 2023To remove and reattach the armrests on the KIVIK sofa:
1. Locate the small plastic clips or screws on the underside of the armrest where it connects to the sofa frame.
2. Using a screwdriver or your fingers, gently pry open or unscrew the clips/screws to detach the armrest from the frame.
3. Carefully lift the armrest straight up and off the sofa.
4. To reattach, align the armrest with the connection points on the sofa frame and press down firmly until the clips or screws click back into place, securing the armrest.
5. Make sure the armrest is firmly attached and does not wobble before using the sofa.
Take your time and be gentle when removing and reattaching the armrests to avoid any damage. If you encounter any issues, double-check the connection points or refer to the assembly instructions. Let me know if you have any other questions

Answered on Apr 20, 2023The removable armrests on the KIVIK chaise lounge are indeed machine washable. They are designed to be easily removable, so you can take them off without any special process. Simply lift up the armrest and it should detach from the chaise. When you're ready to reattach it, just line up the connectors and press it back into place. The armrests are made to be removed and reattached with ease, allowing you to clean them whenever needed

According to the product description, the cover is "easy to keep clean since it can be machine washed and is easy to take off and put on again." The description does not specify a recommended washing temperature, but for a polyester fabric like this, a gentle, cold water cycle would be suitable to avoid shrinkage or damage to the fabric
