Posted on Jun 12, 2023I'm excited to get my new KIVIK sectional sofa, but I have a few questions. Can the chaise lounge be placed on either side of the sofa, or is it designed to only fit on one specific side?
Also, are there any instructions provided for removing and reattaching the armrests?
Finally, how do you wash and dry the Tresund fabric, as it's machine washable but I want to make sure I'm doing it correctly

Answered on Jun 14, 2023The KIVIK sectional sofa is designed to be flexible, allowing you to place the chaise lounge on either the left or right side of the sofa. The removable armrests make it easy to combine the sofa with one or more chaise lounges.
For removing and reattaching the armrests, detailed instructions are provided in the assembly manual that comes with the KIVIK sofa. The manual will guide you through the steps to safely detach and reattach the armrests.
As for washing the Tresund fabric cover, it can be machine washed at a maximum temperature of 104°F (40°C) using a gentle cycle. It's recommended to wash the cover separately from other items. To dry, hang or lay flat to air dry. Avoid using a clothes dryer, as the high heat can damage the fabric

While IKEA does not offer customization options to change the fabric or color of this specific sofa model, you can purchase additional KIVIK covers in different fabrics and colors separately. These replacement covers can be easily swapped out without any additional fees. The covers are machine washable, making it easy to maintain and refresh the look of your KIVIK sofa over time
