1. Blot the stain gently with a clean, damp cloth to absorb as much of the spill as possible. Avoid rubbing, as this can spread the stain.
2. Mix a mild detergent or upholstery cleaner with warm water. Dip a clean sponge or soft-bristled brush into the solution and gently scrub the stained area.
3. Avoid using too much water, as this can damage the fabric or cause the cushion to become damp.

Answered on Oct 18, 2022To clean any stains or spills on the Knäbäck fabric of your ESSEBODA sofa, IKEA recommends the following:
Wipe up spills immediately with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid rubbing the stain, as this can spread it.
For more stubborn stains, you can use a mild soap solution. Mix a small amount of gentle, pH-neutral soap in water. Dip a clean cloth into the solution, wring it out so it's damp but not dripping wet, and gently dab the stain. Avoid excessive scrubbing.
Afterwards, wipe the area with a clean, damp cloth to remove any soap residue. Blot dry with a towel.
IKEA advises against using harsh detergents, bleaching agents, or solvents, as these can damage the fabric. Regular vacuuming and brushing can also help maintain the appearance of the Knäbäck fabric.

Answered on Jul 15, 2022To assemble the ESSEBODA 3-seat sofa, follow these steps:
1. Locate the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the sofa base. These are where the legs will attach.
2. Take one of the wooden legs and align it with the pre-drilled holes. Ensure it is positioned correctly.
3. Secure the leg by screwing it into the base using the appropriate screws provided in the hardware pack. Tighten the screws firmly but do not overtighten.
4. Repeat steps 2-3 for the remaining legs, making sure they are all attached securely.
5. Once all four legs are in place, carefully flip the sofa over onto its legs. Make any final adjustments to ensure the sofa is level and stable.
