Can you please provide more precise measurements of the individual components, such as the width and depth of each section? Additionally, are there any customization options available to adjust the size or shape of the sofa to better fit my room?

Answered on Feb 18, 2024The KIVIK sectional sofa is available in a 6-seat configuration with the following individual component dimensions:
- Width of each section: 43 1/4" (110 cm)
- Depth of each section: 38 1/4" (97 cm)
The sofa can be customized by adding or removing individual sections to adjust the overall size. The armrests are also removable, allowing you to create a more compact configuration if needed.
Additionally, IKEA offers a range of KIVIK chaise lounge add-ons that can be combined with the sectional to further customize the shape and size to fit your space. The chaise lounges have a width of 40 1/2" (103 cm) and a depth of 67" (170 cm).

Finally, are there any specific cleaning instructions for the Tallmyra cover beyond machine washing?

Answered on Sep 23, 2023The armrests on the KIVIK sectional sofa can be removed completely, which allows you to move the chaise lounges around and reconfigure the sofa. The armrests are attached with screws and can be easily detached.
Regarding the removable covers, they are designed to be easily taken off and put back on. The covers have zippers that allow you to remove them without any tools. This makes it convenient to change the cover when you want to update the look of your sofa.
For the Tallmyra cover specifically, in addition to machine washing, you can also spot clean it with a mild detergent and water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the fabric. It's recommended to let the cover air dry rather than putting it in the dryer

Answered on Jul 07, 2022To remove the armrests on the KIVIK sectional sofa safely and efficiently, follow these steps:
1. Locate the screws underneath the armrest. There are typically 2-3 screws that attach the armrest to the sofa frame.
2. Using a screwdriver, carefully remove all the screws securing the armrest.
3. Once the screws are removed, gently lift the armrest straight up and off the sofa. The armrest should come off easily.
4. Repeat the process for the other armrest if needed.
5. When reinstalling the armrests, make sure to align them properly and reattach the screws securely.
