Posted on Nov 30, 2022I'm considering purchasing the HYLTARP loveseat, but I have some questions about it. Can you please tell me if the foam used in the sofa is eco-friendly and non-toxic?
Also, what are the recommended cleaning products for the removable cover, as I would like to know before making a purchase

Answered on Dec 02, 2022The HYLTARP loveseat uses high-resilience foam in the cushions, which provides soft and supportive comfort. The cover is made of a hardwearing chenille fabric blend of cotton and polyester.
For the removable cover, IKEA recommends machine washing it at a maximum temperature of 104°F (40°C) using a normal detergent. Avoid using bleach or other harsh chemicals. The cover can also be tumble dried on a low setting.
As for the eco-friendliness and toxicity of the foam, IKEA does not provide specific details on the foam composition. However, IKEA does have standards in place for the materials used in their products to ensure they meet safety and environmental requirements.
