Posted on Dec 22, 2023I recently purchased the KIVIK Corner sectional, but I'm having trouble with the chaise lounge. It keeps slipping off the base when I try to adjust it. Is there a way to secure it better? Additionally, are the armrests removable as stated in the product description? If so, how do I go about removing them?

Answered on Dec 24, 2023To secure the chaise lounge and prevent it from slipping, you can try the following:
The chaise lounge is designed to be attached to the main sofa section using the removable armrests. Locate the connectors on the underside of the chaise and the main sofa, then firmly click them together. This will help stabilize the chaise and prevent it from sliding.
As for the armrests, they are indeed removable as stated in the product description. To remove them, locate the screws or clips underneath the armrest and simply detach them. This will allow you to reposition the chaise or add additional sections as needed.
Be sure to follow the assembly instructions carefully and double-check that all connections are secure. If you continue to have issues, you may want to contact IKEA customer service for further assistance

And what is the recommended way to attach the chaise lounge to the main sofa, are there any special screws or clips provided for this purpose?

Answered on Mar 13, 2023Yes, the chaise lounge can be placed on either the left or right side of the KIVIK Corner sectional sofa. The description states "You can place the chaise section to the left or right of the sofa, and switch whenever you like."
To attach the chaise lounge to the main sofa, IKEA provides removable armrests that allow you to easily combine the sofa with one or more chaise lounges. The description states "It is easy to combine the sofa with one or more chaise lounges thanks to the removable armrests." No special screws or clips are required, the removable armrests facilitate the attachment of the chaise lounge
