The modules have a soft comfort with high-resilience foam and pocket springs that follow your body and provide support – whether you are sitting, lying down or hanging out on the sofa.
The deep and even seats make JÄTTEBO very comfortable to lie on when reading a good book or enjoying a nap.
In the generous storage space under the seat in the chaise lounge and seat modules, you can store things like throws, games and boxes with small items.
Gas spring dampers ensure that the seat opens and closes softly and smoothly. It also automatically stays in the open position so you can easily pick out and put back what you store.
You can quickly and easily move your modules without tools. Just open the storage to remove the mounting brackets, rearrange the modules and then fix the brackets back in place.

Posted on Feb 08, 2024I am having some issues with the Jättebo modular sofa. The gas spring dampers that allow the seat to open and close smoothly are no longer working properly. Is there a way to replace or repair these dampers, and if so, what is the process?

Answered on Feb 10, 2024To replace or repair the gas spring dampers on your JÄTTEBO modular sofa, follow these steps:
1. Open the storage compartment under the seat to access the mounting brackets that hold the dampers in place.
2. Carefully remove the brackets to detach the dampers. You may need to use a screwdriver or other tool for this.
3. Locate replacement gas spring dampers that are compatible with the JÄTTEBO sofa. These can be purchased from IKEA or an authorized IKEA parts supplier.
4. Attach the new dampers to the mounting brackets, ensuring they are properly aligned and secured.
5. Reattach the brackets back into the sofa frame, making sure the dampers are functioning correctly and the seat opens and closes smoothly.
6. Close the storage compartment and test the operation of the dampers to ensure they are working properly.
