Posted on Sep 24, 2022I recently purchased an Uppland sofa cover in Kelinge beige, but when I put it on my sofa, the cover bunches up and doesn't lie flat. Is this normal or is there something wrong with the cover? How can I adjust it to fit my sofa properly?

Answered on Sep 26, 2022The bunching and not lying flat is likely due to the nature of the wide-wale corduroy fabric used for the UPPLAND cover. The thickness and texture of the corduroy can sometimes cause the cover to bunch up, especially on sofas with more intricate shapes or contours.
To help the cover fit more smoothly, I'd recommend the following:
1. Ensure the cover is properly secured to the sofa frame, with all attachment points properly fastened.
2. Gently stretch and smooth the cover over the sofa, working out any creases or bunching as you go.
3. You can also try placing some heavy books or objects on the cover temporarily to help it conform to the sofa shape as it settles.
With a bit of adjustment and patience, you should be able to get the UPPLAND cover to lie flat and smooth on your sofa. The corduroy fabric may require a bit more effort, but it will provide a cozy, comfortable look once properly fitted
