FINNALA Sofa with chaise, with headrest/Tallmyra beige

This comfortable sofa has pocket spring seat cushions with high resilience foam and a top layer of wadding. It provides a nice comfort and support for your body while maintaining the shape of the seat cushions.
The sofa's sections can be combined in different ways to get a size and shape that suits you. If you need a larger sofa, you can add a section or two.
You can place the chaise section to the left or right of the sofa, and switch whenever you like.
Storage space under the chaise. The lid stays open so you can safely and easily take things in and out.
The headrest extends the backrest of the sofa so that you sit more comfortably with a nice support for your neck.
Tallmyra is a hardwearing chenille cover made of cotton and polyester and has a soft surface and a slightly reflective luster.
The cover is easy to keep clean since it is removable and machine washable.

Posted on Mar 24, 2024I have a Finnala Sofa with chaise, and the headrest is loose. It keeps falling off whenever I try to use it. Is there a way to tighten or secure it in place?

Answered on Mar 26, 2024To tighten and secure the headrest on your FINNALA Sofa with chaise:
1. First, check that the headrest is properly attached to the sofa's backrest. Ensure the headrest is fully inserted into the backrest and not loose.
2. If the headrest is still loose, you can try tightening the screws or bolts that connect it to the backrest. Use a screwdriver or Allen wrench to tighten them securely.
3. Another option is to apply some furniture glue or adhesive to the connection points between the headrest and backrest. This can help hold the headrest in place more firmly.
4. If the hardware connecting the headrest appears worn or damaged, you may need to replace the headrest assembly. Contact IKEA for replacement parts or instructions on how to do this.
5. Avoid forcing the headrest into place, as this could damage the sofa. Take care when adjusting it to prevent any further loosening.
