Posted on Nov 24, 2023I would like to know if it's possible to replace the foam inside the ottoman with a new one, as it seems to be losing its shape. Are there any specific requirements or recommendations for the replacement foam?

Answered on Nov 26, 2023To replace the foam inside the POÄNG Ottoman, you will need to purchase a replacement foam insert that meets the following specifications:
- Dimensions: 26 3/4" x 21 1/4" x 4" (68 cm x 54 cm x 10 cm)
- Foam density: Medium-firm density, around 1.8-2.2 lbs/ft³ (28-35 kg/m³)
- Foam type: High-resilience polyurethane foam
When replacing the foam, be sure to remove the old foam carefully to avoid damaging the ottoman's upholstery or frame. Insert the new foam piece and ensure it fits snugly inside the ottoman cover. You may need to trim the foam slightly to get the right fit.
IKEA does not sell replacement foam inserts directly, but you can find compatible foam pieces from third-party suppliers that meet the required specifications. Be sure to choose a high-quality foam to maintain the comfort and durability of your POÄNG Ottoman
