Posted on Jan 20, 2023I would like to know how do I clean the foam on the KIVIK sofa?
Can it be spot cleaned or should I wash the entire cover in a machine?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jan 22, 2023The KIVIK sofa cover is machine washable, so you can wash the entire cover in a machine. The cover is easy to remove and put back on, making it convenient to clean. For spot cleaning, you can use a damp cloth to gently wipe any stains or spills on the fabric. Avoid submerging the foam cushions in water, as this can damage the internal structure. The machine-washable cover allows you to keep the sofa looking its best with minimal effort

Posted on Nov 30, 2022I have the Kivik Sofa with chaise, Gunnared blue and I'm having some issues with the chaise. The armrests don't seem to be removable as described in the product description. Can you please advise on how to remove them so that I can use the chaise independently of the sofa?
Jessica
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Dec 02, 2022The armrests on the KIVIK sofa with chaise are not designed to be removable. The product description stating that the armrests are removable to allow the chaise to be used independently appears to be inaccurate.
Unfortunately, there is no way to remove the armrests on this specific KIVIK sofa model. The armrests are integrated into the overall frame and construction of the sofa. Attempting to forcibly remove them could potentially damage the sofa.
The best solution would be to use the chaise as intended, attached to the main sofa section. If you require a more flexible seating arrangement, you may need to consider a different IKEA sofa model that has removable or modular components. I apologize that the product description provided incorrect information about the removability of the armrests

Posted on Oct 02, 2022I've had my Kivik sofa for a few years now, and I'm very happy with it. However, the fabric on the armrests is starting to wear off in some places. Can I replace just the armrest covers or do I need to order a whole new set of covers for the entire sofa?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Oct 04, 2022You can purchase replacement covers just for the armrest sections of your KIVIK sofa. The armrest covers are removable and sold separately from the main sofa cover. To order new armrest covers, you'll need to check the product code for your specific KIVIK model and purchase the matching armrest cover. This will allow you to easily replace just the worn armrest areas without having to replace the entire sofa cover
