The tabletop has pre-drilled holes to make it easier to attach to the underframe.

The plywood-patterned edge band adds to the quality feel.

Board-on-frame is a strong and lightweight material with a frame in wood, particleboard or fiberboard and a recycled paper filling. It requires less raw materials and is easy to transport, which reduces the environmental impact.

Mix and match the table top with legs that you like – or choose this ready-made combination. The symmetrical square pattern of the table top enhances your decor, without overwhelming it.

I am trying to assemble this desk but I have a problem with the legs not fitting properly. The instructions are not very clear and I'm having trouble figuring out how to attach them to the tabletop. Can you provide any additional guidance or advice on how to do this correctly?

The issue with the legs not fitting properly is likely due to the pre-drilled holes on the tabletop not aligning correctly with the leg attachments. Here are a few troubleshooting steps to help you assemble the desk correctly:

1. Double-check that you have all the required hardware pieces, including any screws, bolts, or washers needed to attach the legs.

2. Carefully review the assembly instructions again, paying close attention to the diagrams showing the proper leg placement and attachment method.

3. Ensure the tabletop is placed upside down on a flat, stable surface before attempting to attach the legs. This will help ensure proper alignment.

4. If the pre-drilled holes still don't seem to line up, you may need to carefully drill new pilot holes to match the leg attachment points.

Take your time and don't force the legs into place. With a bit of patience and attention to the details, you should be able to get the desk assembled properly

I've assembled my Lagkapten/Tillslag desk, but the table top is slightly uneven. Are there any tips on how to adjust it or should I contact Ikea's customer service?

If the tabletop on your LAGKAPTEN / TILLSLAG desk is slightly uneven after assembly, there are a few things you can try before contacting IKEA customer service:

First, check that all the screws connecting the tabletop to the underframe are tightened properly. Use a screwdriver to ensure they are secure and the tabletop is firmly attached.

Next, try gently pressing down on the tabletop in the areas that seem uneven. This can sometimes help settle the tabletop into place.

If the unevenness persists, you can try adjusting the leveling feet on the desk's legs. Turn the feet clockwise to raise that side of the desk, or counterclockwise to lower it. This can help balance out any slight unevenness in the tabletop.

If these basic adjustments don't resolve the issue, then contacting IKEA customer service would be the recommended next step. They should be able to provide further troubleshooting advice or arrange for a replacement part if needed
