Posted on Feb 05, 2024I've been using the Vittsjö laptop table for a few months now, and I'm having some issues with the self-adhesive cable clips. They seem to have lost their stickiness and no longer hold my cords in place. Is there any way to replace or re-stick these clips?

Answered on Feb 07, 2024The self-adhesive cable clips on the VITTSJÖ laptop table can lose their stickiness over time. To re-stick the clips, you can try the following:
1. Clean the surface where the clips are attached using a mild cleaning solution and a soft cloth. This will remove any dirt or oils that may be preventing the adhesive from sticking properly.
2. Once the surface is clean and dry, peel off the old cable clips.
3. Apply a small amount of super glue or a strong adhesive to the back of the new cable clips.
4. Firmly press the clips back into their original position on the table and hold for 30 seconds to allow the adhesive to set.
This should help re-secure the cable clips and keep your cords in place. If the clips continue to come loose, you may need to replace them with new ones for a more reliable solution

Posted on Jan 05, 2024I need to assemble the Vittsjö laptop table, but I'm having trouble with the tempered glass top not fitting properly on the metal frame. Can you provide instructions or advice on how to adjust it so that it sits flat and secure?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jan 07, 2024To adjust the tempered glass top so it sits flat and secure on the Vittsjö laptop table frame:
1. Ensure all the screws connecting the frame pieces are tightened securely. This will help stabilize the frame and prevent any wobbling or uneven surfaces.
2. Check that the frame is level on the floor. Use the adjustable feet to level it if needed.
3. Carefully place the tempered glass top on the frame. Make sure it is centered and aligned properly.
4. If the glass is not sitting flush, try gently tapping the edges to settle it into place. Avoid applying too much force.
5. If there are still gaps, you can try placing small shims or spacers under the glass edges to level it out.
Go slowly and double-check the alignment. With some minor adjustments, you should be able to get the tempered glass top to fit snugly and securely on the Vittsjö laptop table frame

Posted on Jun 10, 2023How do I clean the tempered glass surface of my Vitsjö laptop table?
Can I use any standard glass cleaner or is there a specific recommendation from Ikea?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jun 12, 2023To clean the tempered glass surface of your VITTSJÖ laptop table, IKEA recommends using a mild glass cleaner or a mixture of water and white vinegar. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the glass surface. Simply spray the cleaner onto the glass and wipe it down with a soft, lint-free cloth. Make sure to dry the surface thoroughly to prevent any streaks or water spots. This gentle approach will help keep the tempered glass looking its best without compromising the material
