Posted on Jul 29, 2023I have a Pinntorp table in light brown stained, but I'm experiencing some issues with the top being uneven. There are small gaps and dips on the surface. How can I fix this? Is it possible to refinish or re-stain the top to make it even again?

Answered on Jul 31, 2023The uneven surface and gaps on the Pinntorp table top can be addressed by sanding and refinishing the top. Here are the steps to fix this issue:
1. Lightly sand the entire table top using a medium-grit sandpaper to remove any existing stain or finish and smooth out the surface.
2. Inspect the table top closely and identify any dips or uneven areas. Use wood filler to fill in these gaps and allow it to dry completely.
3. Once the filler is dry, sand the entire top again using a fine-grit sandpaper to ensure a smooth, even surface.
4. Clean the table top thoroughly to remove any dust or debris.
5. Apply a new stain or wood finish of your choice to the table top. The light brown stain would be a good option to maintain the original look.
6. Allow the stain or finish to dry completely as per the manufacturer's instructions before using the table.
This process should help restore the even, smooth surface of your Pinntorp table. Let me know if you have any other questions
