Posted on May 07, 2023I'm having trouble getting the casters to move smoothly on my new JÄRLÅSA side table. They seem to be stuck or jammed in place.
Is there a trick to lubricating them or is it possible that they need to be replaced?

Answered on May 09, 2023It sounds like the casters on your JÄRLÅSA side table may need some maintenance. Here are a few steps you can try to get them moving smoothly again:
First, try cleaning the casters. Use a soft cloth to wipe away any dirt, dust or debris that may have accumulated around the wheels. This can sometimes cause them to stick or move less freely.
If they still feel stuck, you can try lubricating the casters. Apply a small amount of a lightweight lubricant, like a silicone-based spray or oil, directly onto the caster wheels and swivel points. This will help reduce friction and allow the casters to roll more easily.
If the casters are still not moving properly after cleaning and lubricating, it's possible they may need to be replaced. You can order replacement casters from IKEA and follow the instructions to properly install them.
Let me know if the casters start moving smoothly again after trying these troubleshooting steps
