The table top has a hardwood veneer top layer that is both stained and lacquered for durability and to allow the natural wooden texture to shine through.
The smart design means that the table top has no seams when you use the table without extending it.
Designed for a perfect match with EKEDALEN chairs. ÄLVSTA, LIDÅS, KRYLBO and KARLPETTER chairs are also good matches with different style expressions.
Solid wood underframe makes the construction very sturdy.
This table has been tested against our strictest standards for stability, durability and safety to withstand everyday use in your home for years.

Posted on Aug 05, 2023I recently purchased the EKEDALEN Extendable table, and I'm having trouble extending it. The leaf is stuck and won't slide in properly. Have you experienced this issue before? Is there a specific technique or trick to getting the leaf to fit smoothly?

Answered on Aug 07, 2023The issue you're experiencing with the EKEDALEN table leaf getting stuck is not uncommon, but there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve it:
First, ensure the table top is clean and free of any debris or obstructions that could be preventing the leaf from sliding in smoothly. Wipe down the table top and the underside of the leaf with a soft, dry cloth.
Next, check that the leaf is properly aligned with the table top slots. The leaf should fit snugly into the designated openings without any gaps or misalignment. Gently guide the leaf into place, applying even pressure across the entire width.
If the leaf still won't slide in easily, you can try lightly lubricating the underside of the leaf and the table top slots with a silicone-based furniture polish or lubricant. Avoid using oil-based products, as they can attract dirt and dust over time.
Finally, ensure the table legs are level and the table is stable on the floor. Any wobble or unevenness in the table base can make it difficult to extend the leaf properly.
If you've tried these steps and the issue persists, please reach out to IKEA customer service for further assistance. They'll be able to provide additional troubleshooting tips or arrange for a replacement part if necessary
