Posted on Jan 19, 2024I love this table! I was wondering if there's a way to attach the extension leaf permanently, so it doesn't get lost or misplaced. Is that possible? And if not, are there any other solutions to keep it secure and in place when not in use?

Answered on Jan 21, 2024The INGATORP table is not designed to have the extension leaf permanently attached. The concealed locking function is meant to keep the leaf securely in place when extended, but it is intended to be removable for storage when not in use.
To keep the leaf secure when not extended, you can try the following:
1. Store the leaf in the built-in storage space underneath the tabletop when not in use. This will keep it close at hand and prevent it from getting misplaced.
2. You can also attach a small hook or clip underneath the tabletop to hang the leaf from when retracted. This will keep it neatly stored and easily accessible.
3. Consider using a tablecloth or placemats that extend past the edge of the table when not extended. This can help conceal the gap where the leaf would go and prevent items from falling through.

Answered on Dec 28, 2022To attach or detach the extra leaf on the INGATORP extendable table, follow these steps:
1. Locate the concealed locking mechanism under the table top. This is what secures the extra leaf in place.
2. To attach the leaf, simply slide it into the opening under the table top until it clicks into the locking mechanism. You should feel it lock into place.
3. To detach the leaf, locate the locking mechanism again and gently push or pull the lever to release the lock. This will allow you to slide the leaf out from under the table.
