Answered on Oct 13, 2022To unstick the height adjustment button on your BEKANT corner desk, try the following:
1. Ensure the desk is not overloaded. The maximum load capacity is 154 lbs. Remove any heavy items from the desk.
2. Check if the desk is level. Uneven surfaces can cause the mechanism to stick. Adjust the leveling feet as needed.
3. Locate the adjustment button and clean around it. Use a soft cloth to gently wipe away any dust or debris that may be preventing the button from moving freely.
4. If the button still won't budge, you may need to lubricate the mechanism. Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant around the button and try adjusting it again.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, it's best to contact IKEA customer support. They can provide further troubleshooting guidance or arrange for a repair if needed. Avoid forcing the button, as that could damage the mechanism

Posted on Aug 25, 2022I'm having trouble adjusting the height of my Bekant corner desk from sitting to standing position. The manual says it's easy, but I'm finding it difficult. Can you provide any troubleshooting tips or recommendations for how to adjust it smoothly?

Answered on Aug 27, 2022To adjust the height of the BEKANT corner desk smoothly, try the following:
1. Ensure the desk is plugged into a power outlet and the control panel is turned on. The height adjustment function is electronic and requires power.
2. Locate the control panel, usually mounted underneath the desktop. It should have up and down buttons to raise or lower the desk.
3. Press and hold the up or down button slowly and steadily until the desk reaches your desired height. Don't try to adjust it too quickly.
4. If the desk seems stuck or is not moving, check that there are no obstructions underneath preventing it from raising or lowering. Remove any objects that may be blocking the movement.
5. As a last resort, you can try resetting the desk by unplugging it from power for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in and trying the height adjustment again.
If you continue to have issues, please double-check the product manual or contact IKEA customer service for further troubleshooting assistance
