Every table is unique, with varying grain pattern and natural color shifts that are part of the charm of wood.

Posted on Apr 22, 2023Can I attach a decorative table skirt or runner to this table, and if so, how would you recommend doing it?

Answered on Apr 24, 2023You can certainly add a decorative table skirt or runner to the DANDERYD drop-leaf table. Here's how I would recommend doing it:
The table has a standard rectangular shape, so you can find a table skirt or runner that fits the dimensions of the tabletop when the leaves are fully extended (up to 52 3/4" long x 31 1/2" wide). Look for a skirt or runner made of a lightweight, drapey fabric that will hang nicely over the edges.
To attach it, you can use velcro strips or double-sided tape along the underside of the tabletop. This will allow you to easily remove and reattach the skirt or runner as needed when adjusting the table size. You can also use small clips or clamps along the sides to hold the fabric in place.
Just be mindful not to attach anything too heavy that could weigh down the drop leaves or interfere with their movement. A simple, flowing table skirt or runner will complement the DANDERYD table nicely

Posted on Sep 17, 2022I have a Danderyd drop-leaf table and I'm experiencing some issues with the legs. They seem to be loose and wobbly, even after tightening the screws. Is there any way to stabilize them or are they just not meant to be super sturdy?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Sep 19, 2022The legs on the DANDERYD drop-leaf table are designed to be adjustable to accommodate uneven floors, but they should not be excessively loose or wobbly. Here are a few steps you can try to stabilize the legs:
1. Ensure all the screws connecting the legs to the table top are tightened securely. You may need to use a screwdriver or wrench to fully tighten them.
2. If the screws are tight but the legs are still loose, you can try placing small shims or pieces of cardboard between the leg and the table top to fill any gaps and create a tighter fit.
3. Check that the floor under the table is level. If the floor is uneven, you can try adjusting the leveling feet on the legs to compensate.
4. As a last resort, you may need to replace the leg hardware if the connection points are worn or damaged. Contact IKEA for replacement parts or assistance.
With a bit of troubleshooting, you should be able to stabilize the legs and restore the sturdiness of your DANDERYD drop-leaf table
