BESTÅ TV bench with doors, white/Björköviken/Stubbarp birch veneer, 47 1/4x16 1/2x29 1/8 "
Article number: 194.204.97
BJÖRKÖVIKEN front is made of birch veneer, giving each door a sense of quality with a natural expression.
It’s easy to keep the cords from your TV and other devices out of sight but close at hand, as there are several cord outlets at the back of the TV bench.
The cable outlet at the top lets cords run down smoothly into the TV bench.
You can choose to use either the soft-closing or push-open function. The push-opener lets you open the doors with just a light push, while the soft-closing hinges makes sure they close silently and softly.
The shelves are adjustable so you can customize your storage as needed.
Optimize and organize your BESTÅ storage with boxes and inserts that you like.
It’s not only the TV that’s smart! BESTÅ TV units combine contemporary good looks with practical function. You get lots of storage space and relief from cables that tend to get messy and gather dust.

Posted on Sep 30, 2022I'm having trouble getting the doors to open smoothly. They seem stuck and don't want to open or close properly. Have you experienced this issue before? Is there a way to lubricate the hinges or adjust the soft-closing mechanism?

Answered on Oct 02, 2022It sounds like the doors on your BESTÅ TV bench may need some adjustments to get them opening and closing smoothly again. Here are a few things you can try:
First, check the hinges to see if they need lubrication. You can use a small amount of silicone-based hinge lubricant or even a bit of cooking oil to help the hinges move more freely. Apply a small amount to the hinge pins and open/close the doors a few times to work it in.
If the hinges seem fine, you may need to adjust the soft-closing mechanism. There are usually small screws or levers on the hinges that control the closing tension. Try adjusting these a small amount at a time until you find the right balance of smooth closing without the doors slamming shut.
Finally, make sure the doors are properly aligned in the frame. You may need to loosen the hinge screws slightly and shift the door position before retightening. This can help ensure the doors are hanging straight and closing evenly.
With a little troubleshooting, you should be able to get your BESTÅ TV bench doors operating smoothly again. Let me know if you have any other questions

Posted on Aug 31, 2022I am having trouble with the soft-closing function not working properly on my Bestå TV bench. The doors do not close silently and softly as described in the product description. What could be causing this issue? Is there a way to adjust or fix it?

Answered on Sep 02, 2022The issue with the soft-closing function not working properly on your BESTÅ TV bench is likely due to the hinges needing some adjustment. Here are the steps to troubleshoot and fix this problem:
1. Check the hinges to ensure they are properly installed and tightened. Over time, the screws can become loose, causing the doors to not close smoothly.
2. If the hinges are secure, try adjusting the tension on the soft-close mechanism. There are small screws or levers on the hinges that control the closing force. Gently tighten these to increase the soft-close tension.
3. Ensure there is no obstruction preventing the doors from closing fully. Check that the doors are aligned properly and not rubbing against the frame or other components.
4. As a last resort, you may need to replace the hinges if they are worn out or damaged. Replacement soft-close hinges are available from IKEA that should resolve the issue.
By following these steps, you should be able to restore the smooth, silent door closing function on your BESTÅ TV bench

Posted on Aug 31, 2022I love the design of this TV bench, but I'm having trouble installing it. Can you provide more detailed instructions or diagrams for assembling the product? Specifically, I'm struggling with attaching the doors to the frame and adjusting the shelves.

Answered on Sep 02, 2022To attach the doors to the frame, first ensure you have all the necessary hardware like hinges, screws, and any specialized tools. Refer to the instruction manual carefully and follow the step-by-step guide on door installation. Pay close attention to the hinge placement and make sure they are securely fastened.
For adjusting the shelves, locate the shelf pins or clips that allow you to reposition the shelves. Gently lift the shelf up and out, then place it at the desired height, making sure it clicks firmly into place. Double-check that the shelf is level and able to support the weight you plan to place on it.
If you're still having trouble, I'd recommend reviewing the instruction manual again thoroughly or reaching out to IKEA customer service for further assistance. They should be able to provide more detailed guidance to ensure a successful assembly

Answered on Aug 22, 2022To address the issue with the doors of your BESTÅ TV bench not closing properly, you can try the following steps:
1. Check the hinges: Ensure that the hinges are properly aligned and tightened. If the hinges are loose, you can tighten the screws using a screwdriver.
2. Lubricate the hinges: Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant or furniture polish to the hinges. This will help reduce friction and make the doors move more smoothly.
3. Adjust the hinges: If the doors are still not closing properly, you may need to adjust the hinges. Most BESTÅ hinges have adjustment screws that allow you to fine-tune the position of the doors. Refer to the IKEA instructions or look for online tutorials on how to adjust the hinges for your specific model.
4. Check for obstructions: Make sure there are no obstructions, such as cables or other items, preventing the doors from closing properly.
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue and make the doors of your BESTÅ TV bench move more smoothly
