This 4-seat table can easily be extended into a 6-seat table using the included self-storing leaf.
The self-storing leaf is easy to insert to extend the table from 4 to 6 and just as easy to remove and tuck away under the table top when your guests have gone home.
The melamine table top is moisture resistant, stain resistant and easy to keep clean.
The seat and high back are padded with foam and dressed in a durable, yet soft and smooth fabric cover to make your time around the table comfy and enjoyable, so you can stay a while longer.
After lively meals, it's nice to know that you can easily pull the chair cover off and machine wash it.
The chair cover comes in one piece and fixes in place with hook-and-loop fasteners so you can easily pull it off and put it back on again.
With regular airing or washing, you keep your cover fresh and clean, and also reduce the amount of dust and dirt in your living space.

Posted on Dec 17, 2023I love the idea of the self-storing leaf, but I'm having trouble extending it smoothly. What's the correct way to insert and remove the leaf? Is there a specific technique or trick to make it easier?

Answered on Dec 19, 2023To extend the table and insert the self-storing leaf smoothly, follow these steps:
1. Ensure the table is on a level surface. Gently lift the table top from the center to reveal the leaf storage compartment underneath.
2. Carefully pull out the leaf from its storage position. Make sure it is oriented correctly before lowering it into the table frame.
3. Slowly lower the leaf into the table frame, aligning it with the table top edges. Apply gentle pressure to click the leaf securely into place.
4. To remove the leaf, simply lift it straight up and out of the table frame. Store it back in the compartment underneath the table top.
The key is to go slowly and apply even pressure when inserting or removing the leaf. Avoid forcing it, as this could damage the mechanism. With a little practice, extending and retracting the self-storing leaf should become smooth and easy

Additionally, are the hook-and-loop fasteners on the chair cover easily removable for washing, or do they need to be disassembled first?

Answered on May 18, 2023To remove the self-storing leaf from the Vangsta/Kättil table, follow these steps:
1. Ensure the table is in the extended position with the leaf fully inserted.
2. Locate the small levers or release mechanisms on the underside of the table, usually near the edges.
3. Gently pull or press these levers to disengage the leaf from the table top.
4. Once the leaf is released, carefully lift it out and store it underneath the table top.
5. Make sure the leaf is securely stored before using the table in the 4-seat configuration.
