I'm having trouble assembling the table. The instructions are unclear and I'm missing one of the small metal pieces that connects the legs to the table top. Can you provide me with a replacement or further guidance on how to assemble it correctly?

To assemble the IDANÄS / SKOGSBO table correctly without the missing metal piece, I suggest the following:

First, double-check the assembly instructions to ensure you haven't missed any steps. If the metal piece is truly missing, you can try using a sturdy wood screw or dowel to connect the leg to the tabletop instead. Make sure the connection is tight and secure.

Alternatively, you could contact IKEA customer service to request a replacement part. They should be able to send you the missing metal piece free of charge to complete the assembly.

When attaching the legs, ensure they are properly aligned and tightened. The bentwood design requires a precise fit, so take your time and double-check the stability of the connections.

If you continue to have issues, I recommend reviewing any online assembly guides or tutorial videos for this specific product. This may provide additional visual guidance to help you through the process.

I have a small dining area and I'm considering buying the IDANÄS / SKOGSBO table and chairs. However, I've noticed that the chair legs are quite thin and might scratch my floor. Are there any options to replace them with thicker or more protective legs?

To help protect your floors from potential scratches, you can consider adding felt pads or floor protectors to the chair legs. These are inexpensive accessories that can be easily attached to the bottom of the chair legs to create a smoother, more protective surface. This will help prevent damage to your floors while still allowing you to use the original IDANÄS / SKOGSBO chair legs. The bentwood design and traditional look of the chairs can be maintained, while also ensuring your floors are protected

I am trying to assemble the IDANÄS / SKOGSBO table and chairs, but I'm having trouble with one of the legs on the chair. The screw that attaches it to the seat won't go in fully. Is there a specific way to tighten or loosen these screws? Or is there something else that could be causing this issue?

The issue with the screw not going in fully on the chair leg could be caused by a few possible reasons:

1. The screw hole in the chair seat may not be properly aligned with the hole in the leg. Try gently adjusting the leg position and angle to get the holes to line up better before attempting to screw it in.

2. The screw threads may be damaged or the hole in the leg is not cut properly. You can try using a small file or sandpaper to clean up the screw threads and hole slightly to allow the screw to thread in more smoothly.

3. There could be some debris or obstruction in the screw hole preventing the screw from going in fully. Use a toothpick or small tool to clear out any sawdust or other material in the hole.

If you continue to have trouble, try loosening the other leg screws slightly, then re-tightening them after you've got the problematic leg screw started. This can help ensure all the legs are properly aligned. With a little patience and adjustment, you should be able to get that leg securely attached
