Posted on Aug 26, 2023I have an issue with my Alex/Långfjäll/Kallax desk and storage combination. The drawers on the Kallax are not aligning properly with the desk. Is there any adjustment mechanism or trick to get them aligned correctly?

Answered on Aug 28, 2023The misalignment of the Kallax drawers with the desk can be resolved by adjusting the leveling feet on the Kallax unit.
First, ensure the Kallax unit is level on the floor. You can adjust the leveling feet at the bottom of the Kallax by turning them clockwise or counterclockwise to raise or lower each corner until the unit is level.
Once the Kallax is level, you can then adjust the drawer alignment. Look for small screws or bolts on the drawer fronts that allow you to shift the drawers left, right, up or down to get them properly aligned with the desk. Gently loosen these fasteners, adjust the drawer position, then retighten to secure the new alignment.
With some minor adjustments to the leveling feet and drawer fronts, you should be able to get the Kallax drawers properly aligned and flush with the desk surface

Posted on Jul 30, 2022I have purchased this set but I'm having some issues with the chair's mechanism under the seat. It seems to be stuck and won't move up or down. Is there any troubleshooting or maintenance that I can do to fix this issue?
Alice @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Aug 01, 2022The issue with the chair's mechanism under the seat being stuck and not moving up or down is likely due to a buildup of debris or a mechanical problem. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to fix this:
1. Check for any obstructions under the seat that may be preventing the mechanism from moving freely. Carefully inspect and remove any debris, dust, or objects that could be interfering with the chair's adjustment.
2. Locate the adjustment lever or knob under the seat that controls the height. Try moving it back and forth several times to see if you can get the mechanism to start working again.
3. If the lever or knob still doesn't seem to be functioning, the issue may be with the internal mechanism. You can try lubricating the moving parts with a small amount of silicone-based lubricant, being careful not to over-apply.
4. As a last resort, you may need to contact IKEA customer service for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting guidance or arrange for a replacement part if the mechanism is faulty
