Posted on Apr 05, 2024I've just assembled my Nordviken extendable table and everything seems to be working fine except that the leaves don't seem to fit smoothly when extending or retracting.
Is there a trick to making them slide in and out more easily?

Answered on Apr 07, 2024The issue with the leaves not sliding smoothly when extending or retracting the Nordviken table is likely due to the mechanism needing some adjustments. Here are a few steps you can try to improve the leaf extension:
1. Check that the table is level. Use a spirit level to ensure the table top is perfectly flat. Adjust the leveling feet if needed.
2. Lubricate the extension mechanism. Apply a small amount of silicone-based furniture polish or lubricant to the sliding tracks to reduce friction.
3. Adjust the leaf supports. There are small screws on the underside of the table that allow you to fine-tune the positioning of the leaf supports. Tighten or loosen these screws to get the leaves sitting flush.
4. Ensure the leaves are properly aligned. When inserting the leaves, make sure they are centered and level with the table top. This will help them slide in and out smoothly.
