Posted on Jul 09, 2022I have been using my Bekant desk for a while now and the electronic adjustment mechanism has started to malfunction. The top will no longer stay in position when I adjust it, and sometimes it drops or rises randomly without me touching anything. Is there a solution or replacement part that I can get to fix this issue?

Answered on Jul 11, 2022The issue you're experiencing with the electronic adjustment mechanism on your BEKANT desk is likely due to a problem with the motor or control unit. Unfortunately, there is no simple replacement part that can be purchased to fix this. The best solution would be to contact IKEA customer service and request a repair or replacement of the desk. They should be able to either send a technician to diagnose and repair the issue, or provide you with a replacement desk if it cannot be fixed. IKEA offers a 10-year limited warranty on the BEKANT desk, so they should be able to assist you with resolving this problem at no additional cost. I'd recommend reaching out to them as soon as possible to get the desk functioning properly again
