Posted on Apr 21, 2023I would like to know if it's possible to replace the casters with new ones if they wear out. Also, are there any specific instructions for disassembling and reassembling the unit?

Answered on Apr 23, 2023Yes, it is possible to replace the casters on the TROTTEN Drawer unit if they wear out. The casters are attached to the bottom of the unit and can be unscrewed and removed. When purchasing replacement casters, make sure to get ones that are the same size (2 inches/5 cm) to ensure a proper fit.
For disassembly and reassembly instructions, refer to the assembly manual that came with the unit. The general steps would be:
1. Unscrew the casters from the bottom of the unit.
2. Remove the drawers.
3. Disassemble the unit by unscrewing the screws that hold the side panels and other components together.
4. Reassemble the unit in reverse order, making sure all screws are tightened securely.
5. Reattach the new casters

Posted on Aug 19, 2022I'm interested in purchasing the TROTTEN drawer unit. Can you confirm that the casters are lockable as well, or do they only have a lock on the drawers? Additionally, is there any way to adjust the height of the casters to accommodate different floor types (e.g. carpeted, hardwood)?

Answered on Aug 21, 2022The TROTTEN drawer unit has lockable casters in addition to the lockable drawers. The casters do not have any height adjustment, so the overall height of the unit will remain fixed at 22 inches (56 cm). The casters are designed to work on a variety of floor types, including carpeted and hardwood surfaces, without the need for height adjustment
