Posted on Oct 12, 2023I have a Ekedalen extendable table and I need to replace the leaf, how do I go about doing this? Can I purchase a replacement leaf or is there a DIY solution?

Answered on Oct 14, 2023To replace the leaf on your EKEDALEN extendable table, you have a couple of options:
1. Purchase a replacement leaf directly from IKEA. IKEA sells replacement leaves for their EKEDALEN tables, so you can order a new one to match your existing table.
2. If a replacement leaf is not available, you can try a DIY solution. The EKEDALEN table is designed with a self-storing leaf, so you may be able to find a piece of wood or material that closely matches the size and thickness of the original leaf. You can then carefully measure and cut the replacement piece to fit the table's extension mechanism.
When installing a replacement leaf, make sure it slides in and out smoothly and securely locks into place. Test the table's extension and retraction to ensure the new leaf functions properly
