Posted on Sep 23, 2023I love the HEMNES 2-drawer chest and would like to know if it's possible to attach a lock or a latch to secure the drawers?

Answered on Sep 25, 2023The HEMNES 2-drawer chest does not have a built-in locking mechanism, but you can easily add a drawer lock or latch to secure the drawers. Some options to consider:
- Install a simple adhesive drawer lock or latch that can be attached directly to the drawer fronts. This provides a basic locking function without modifying the furniture.
- Use a drill to create pilot holes and install small cabinet locks or latches on the drawer fronts. This requires a bit more work but provides a more secure locking solution.
- Attach a hasp-style locking mechanism that spans across both drawers. This secures the drawers together and prevents them from being opened.
Any of these aftermarket locking solutions can be easily added to the HEMNES chest to keep the drawers secured. Just be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully during installation

Posted on Jun 20, 2023I purchased this HEMNES 2-drawer chest in dark gray stained and it's not the same as I expected. The color is more brown than gray, is that normal or was there a mistake?
