I love my Bekant corner desk, but I'm having some issues with the height adjustment mechanism not working smoothly. The table top keeps getting stuck and it's hard to move up or down. Is there a trick or technique to help lubricate the mechanism or is this a sign of wear and tear?

The issue you're experiencing with the height adjustment mechanism on your BEKANT corner desk is likely due to some buildup of dirt or debris in the mechanism. Here are a few steps you can try to help get it working smoothly again:

1. Unplug the desk from the power source to disconnect the electronic height adjustment mechanism.
2. Use a clean, dry cloth to gently wipe down the telescoping legs and the area where the tabletop connects to the frame. This will help remove any accumulated dust or debris.
3. Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to the moving parts of the height adjustment mechanism. Avoid using oil-based lubricants as they can attract more dirt over time.
4. Slowly raise and lower the desk a few times to work the lubricant into the mechanism.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, it's possible there is a more significant problem with the height adjustment motor or other internal components. In that case, you may need to contact IKEA for warranty service or replacement parts. Let me know if you have any other questions
