Every table is unique, with varying grain pattern and natural color shifts that are part of the charm of wood.

One person can quickly and smoothly extend the table before the guests arrive.

The smart design means that the table top has no seams when you use the table without extending it.

The extra leaf can be stored within easy reach under the table top when not in use.

The table legs are always in the corners of the table top even when the table is extended, so there is plenty of room for chairs under the table.

Easy to combine with chairs and benches in the same series or why not mix with other chairs from IKEA.

No tools are required to assemble the chair, you just click it together with a simple mechanism under the seat.

A durable dining set that makes it easy to have big dinners. A single person can extend the table and there’s plenty of room for chairs since the legs are always located at the corners of the table.

Measurements:
Table min. length: 70 7/8 " (180 cm)

How do you secure the leaf when it is extended and not being used? Is there a locking mechanism or any other way to keep it in place?

The EKEDALEN table has a smart design that keeps the table leaf securely in place when extended. There is no need for a separate locking mechanism. When the table is extended, the leaf is seamlessly integrated into the table top, providing a stable and secure surface. The legs are positioned at the corners of the table, even when extended, which helps to support the table top and prevent any shifting or movement of the leaf. As long as the table is properly assembled, the extended leaf will remain firmly in place without requiring any additional locking or securing steps

I've assembled my Ekedalen / Odger table and chairs, but I'm having trouble extending the table smoothly. The leaf is not sliding in evenly. Are there any tips or tricks to help it glide in more smoothly?

To help the table leaf slide in more smoothly, try the following:

1. Ensure the table is placed on a level, even surface. An uneven floor can cause the leaf to bind.

2. Check that the table legs are properly tightened and the table is stable. Loose legs can prevent the leaf from extending properly.

3. Lubricate the extension mechanism. Apply a small amount of furniture polish or silicone-based lubricant to the sliding tracks to reduce friction.

4. Make sure there are no obstructions or debris in the table's extension mechanism. Wipe away any dust or dirt that may be hindering the smooth movement.

5. If the leaf still does not extend easily, try gently tapping the leaf into place while sliding it in. Avoid forcing it, as this could damage the mechanism.

With a little adjustment, you should be able to get the Ekedalen / Odger table extending smoothly. Let me know if you have any other questions
