Posted on Sep 25, 2023I'm having trouble extending the table. The self-storing leaf doesn't fit properly and I'm worried about damaging it or the table. Can you provide some guidance on how to extend the table correctly?

Answered on Sep 27, 2023To extend the INGATORP / INGOLF table correctly:
1. Ensure the table is placed on a flat, even surface before attempting to extend it.
2. Locate the self-storing leaf under the tabletop. Gently pull it out until it is fully extended.
3. With the leaf fully extended, carefully lift it and align it with the slots on the table frame. Make sure the leaf fits snugly into the slots.
4. Slowly lower the leaf into place, ensuring it is securely positioned and does not wobble.
5. If the leaf does not fit properly, double-check that it is fully extended and aligned correctly with the table frame. Do not force it, as this could damage the table or the leaf.
6. Once the leaf is in place, the table should now be extended and ready to accommodate up to 6 people.
Take your time and do not apply excessive force when extending the table. If you continue to have issues, please refer to the assembly instructions or contact IKEA customer service for further assistance

Posted on Oct 15, 2022I have the Ingatorp dining set and I love it! However, when I extended the table, the self-storing leaf didn't quite align properly with the main table top. Is there a specific way to adjust or secure it in place?
