Posted on Jan 15, 2024I have been using this table and chairs for a while now, but I've noticed that the shelves keep sliding down when I put weight on them. Is there a way to secure them in place or adjust their position?
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Jan 17, 2024The shelves on the NORBERG / FRANKLIN table are designed to be adjustable, but it sounds like they may be slipping down due to the weight placed on them. To secure the shelves in place, you can try the following:
1. Check that the shelf supports are fully extended and locked into position. There should be a small tab or lever that clicks into place to hold the shelf securely.
2. If the shelf supports are not locking properly, you can try tightening the screws that attach the supports to the table frame. This will help keep the shelves from sliding down.
3. Another option is to add small rubber bumpers or adhesive-backed felt pads to the underside of the shelves. This will create more friction and prevent the shelves from sliding down as easily.
4. Lastly, you can try rearranging the items on the shelves to distribute the weight more evenly, which may help keep the shelves in place.
