Posted on Jan 02, 2024I just received the IDÅSEN Desk and I'm having trouble adjusting the height. The handle seems stuck or loose, making it hard to move up or down. Have you experienced this issue before? Is there a trick to getting it to work smoothly?

Answered on Jan 04, 2024The issue with the handle being stuck or loose on the IDÅSEN desk is a common problem that can occur. Here are a few troubleshooting steps to try:
First, check that the desk is level and stable on the floor. If it's not level, the height adjustment mechanism may not function properly. Try adjusting the leveling feet to get the desk completely level.
Next, locate the small Allen key that was provided in the assembly hardware. Use this to tighten the screws that secure the height adjustment mechanism to the desk frame. This can help stabilize the handle and make the height adjustment smoother.
If the handle still feels loose or difficult to move, there may be an issue with the internal components. You can try lubricating the mechanism with a small amount of silicone-based lubricant. Avoid using oil-based lubricants as they can attract dust and grime over time.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, you may need to contact IKEA customer service for further assistance. They should be able to provide additional troubleshooting guidance or a replacement part if needed
