This 4-seat table can easily be extended into a 6-seat table using the included self-storing leaf.

The self-storing leaf is easy to insert to extend the table from 4 to 6 and just as easy to remove and tuck away under the table top when your guests have gone home.

The dark brown table has a hardwood veneer top layer that is both stained and lacquered for durability and to allow the natural wooden texture to shine through.

The fixed Bomstad cover is made of a durable material that both feels and looks like leather. The material consists of polyester and cotton and has a protective coating of polyurethane.

I'm having trouble extending the table from 4 to 6 seats. The leaf won't fit properly and I can't figure out how to secure it in place. Can you please provide instructions on how to do this correctly?

To extend the EKEDALEN / LILLÅNÄS table from 4 to 6 seats:

1. Locate the self-storing leaf that came with the table. It should be stored underneath the tabletop.

2. Gently pull out the leaf and position it in the center of the table, aligning the edges with the existing tabletop.

3. Make sure the leaf is level with the tabletop. There are small clips or locks on the underside of the table that should secure the leaf in place.

4. Engage these clips or locks to firmly lock the leaf into position, ensuring it is stable and does not wobble.

5. Once the leaf is secured, the table should now be extended to accommodate 6 chairs comfortably.

I recently received my Ekedalen/Lillåns table and chairs, but I'm having some trouble with the self-storing leaf. It doesn't seem to fit properly when trying to extend the table from 4 to 6 seats. Is there a specific way to insert the leaf or a trick to make it slide in smoothly?

To insert the self-storing leaf smoothly, here are the steps:

1. Ensure the table is fully closed and in the 4-seat position. The leaf should be stored underneath the tabletop.

2. Gently pull out the leaf from its storage space, taking care not to force it.

3. Align the leaf carefully with the corresponding slots on the table frame. Make sure the edges of the leaf match up evenly with the existing tabletop.

4. Slowly lower the leaf into place, applying even pressure to guide it in smoothly. You may need to adjust the angle slightly as you insert it.

5. Once the leaf is fully inserted, check that it is securely in place and the table can extend to the 6-seat position without any gaps or unevenness.

If you still have trouble, double-check that there are no obstructions preventing the leaf from sliding in easily. With a little patience, the self-storing mechanism should allow you to extend the table quickly and easily

It is not recommended to replace it with a custom-made leaf, as it may not fit properly or function as intended. The self-storing mechanism is an integral part of the table's design.
