Posted on Sep 04, 2022I am having trouble opening the drawer. The integrated push-opener seems to be stuck and doesn't respond when I try to open it. Is there a trick to fixing this or should I contact Ikea customer service for assistance?

Answered on Sep 06, 2022The issue with the stuck drawer on your BESTÅ TV bench is likely due to the adjustable drawer runners. The drawer runners allow you to adjust the front of the drawer both horizontally and in depth, but if they are not properly aligned, it can cause the push-opener mechanism to malfunction.
To fix this, try the following steps:
1. Fully extend the drawer out.
2. Locate the adjustment screws on the drawer runners. There are usually two screws on each side.
3. Gently loosen the adjustment screws, being careful not to remove them completely.
4. Slowly push the drawer back in, ensuring it slides smoothly.
5. Once the drawer is closed, tighten the adjustment screws back up.
