Posted on May 19, 2023I am interested in buying this changing table, but I have a few questions before making the purchase. How do you attach the fixed shelf? Is it easy to assemble and disassemble? Also, what is the recommended weight capacity for the desk conversion? Can it hold a laptop and other materials for homework or crafting?

Answered on May 21, 2023To attach the fixed shelf, it can be mounted on the right or left side of the changing table. The instructions should include detailed steps on how to securely attach the shelf.
Assembly and disassembly of this SMÅSTAD changing table is generally straightforward, but may require 2 people due to the size and weight of the unit. The instructions provide clear guidance to ensure proper and safe assembly.
The maximum weight capacity for the desk conversion is 33 lbs (15 kg). This should be sufficient to hold a laptop and basic school/craft supplies. However, I would not recommend overloading the surface to avoid any potential issues
