BESTÅ Storage combination with drawers
Article number: 291.956.72
The drawers and doors close silently and softly, thanks to the integrated soft-closing function.
The legs raise your BESTÅ combination from the floor, giving it a light airy look and making it easy to clean the floor underneath.
Two drawers make it easy to keep your belongings organized. The shelves behind the doors give you even more storage space.
Everything you need for storing and keeping things organized at home. Choose a ready-made combination or create your own, adapted to your style and belongings. This is just one of many, many possibilities.

Posted on Jul 19, 2023I have the BESTÅ Storage combination with drawers and I'm experiencing some issues with the drawers. The soft-close function doesn't seem to be working properly - sometimes they close loudly and other times they don't close at all. What could be causing this problem and is there a way to fix it?

Answered on Jul 21, 2023The issue with the soft-close function on the BESTÅ drawers is likely due to a few potential causes:
1. Misalignment of the drawers - Over time, the drawers can become misaligned, preventing the soft-close mechanism from working properly. Try adjusting the drawer alignment by loosening the screws and repositioning the drawer.
2. Worn or damaged soft-close mechanism - The soft-close hinges and mechanisms can wear out with frequent use. You may need to replace the soft-close components to restore the smooth, quiet closing action.
3. Obstruction in the drawer track - Check the drawer tracks for any debris or obstructions that could be interfering with the drawer movement and soft-close function.
To fix the issue, I'd recommend first trying to realign the drawers. If that doesn't resolve it, you may need to order replacement soft-close components from IKEA and follow their instructions to properly install the new parts. This should restore the smooth, quiet closing of the BESTÅ drawers

Answered on Apr 10, 2023To adjust the soft-close function on your BESTÅ storage combination with drawers:
1. Locate the soft-close mechanism on the drawer slides. This is typically a small lever or dial.
2. Use a screwdriver to gently adjust the soft-close mechanism, turning it clockwise to increase the soft-closing force, or counterclockwise to decrease it.
3. Test the drawer closure and continue adjusting until the drawers close softly and smoothly.
4. If the soft-close mechanism is worn or damaged, you may need to replace the drawer slides for proper soft-closing function.

Answered on Feb 08, 2023To adjust the soft-close mechanism on your BESTÅ drawers, first open the drawer fully. Locate the small adjustment screw on the side of the drawer runner. Use a screwdriver to turn the screw clockwise to increase the closing force, or counterclockwise to decrease the closing force. Make small adjustments and test the drawer closing until you achieve the desired smoothness. Be careful not to overtighten the screw, as this could damage the mechanism

Posted on Oct 13, 2022How do I remove the drawers from the BESTÅ storage combination?
I want to move them around and reconfigure the setup, but it seems stuck
Kenzo @ EasyRebuild
Answered on Oct 15, 2022To remove the drawers from the BESTÅ storage combination, follow these steps:
1. Fully extend the drawer you want to remove.
2. Locate the small plastic release levers on the inside of the drawer sides, near the front.
3. Gently press down on both release levers simultaneously.
4. While holding the levers down, carefully pull the drawer straight out.
The drawers are designed with a push-to-release mechanism, so pressing the levers allows you to detach the drawer from the cabinet. Take care not to force the drawer out, as this could damage the mechanism. Once removed, you can easily rearrange the drawers as needed

Answered on Aug 26, 2022The issue with the soft-close mechanism on the drawer is likely due to a few possible reasons:
1. Debris or obstruction: Over time, small debris or objects can get stuck in the soft-close mechanism, preventing the drawer from closing smoothly. Try gently cleaning the mechanism and the drawer slides to remove any buildup.
2. Wear and tear: The soft-close mechanism may have worn out over time and needs to be replaced. You can purchase replacement soft-close dampers from IKEA and install them to restore the smooth closing function.
3. Misalignment: If the drawer is not properly aligned within the cabinet, it can cause the soft-close mechanism to malfunction. Try adjusting the drawer alignment by loosening the screws and repositioning the drawer.
To fix the issue, I would recommend first trying to clean the mechanism and check the drawer alignment. If that doesn't resolve the problem, you may need to replace the soft-close dampers. Refer to the IKEA assembly instructions or contact their customer service for detailed guidance on the replacement process
